Chemistry with thioglycolic acid

A relatively safe method of perm, but at the same time it does not give the effect of elastic curls. Not suitable for those with heavy, thick hair.

How is the procedure performed

Preparation of the necessary tools. The main curling tool is bobbins. Before starting the wrapping, you need to decide on the size and prepare the required number of bobbins. Depending on the length and thickness of the hair, 60 to 100 pieces may be required.

You should also have the following set on hand:

• Latex gloves;
• Prepared composition for application;
• 2 waffle towels, 1 terry;
• 2 sponges;
• Clips and comb;
• Spray.

1. The head is washed with shampoo and moisturized with balm, the hair is wrapped in a towel to remove excess moisture.
2. A central zone from the forehead to the neck, corresponding to the width of the whooping cough, and two lateral zones are distinguished.
3. Work begins from the forehead in the central zone. A strand of 5 mm wide is pulled perpendicular to the head and wound tightly around the bobbin. At the roots, the wrapping is fixed with an elastic band. Thus, you need to go through the entire volume of the hair.
4. A towel is wound around the hairline to protect the face from accidental splashing of the solution.
5. Apply the permanent with a sponge to the hair with damping movements. After 10 minutes, a curl quality test is carried out: you need to unwind 1 curl (preferably around the neck) and look at the result. If necessary, the product is reapplied for the same amount of time.
6. The head is washed with warm water without removing the bobbins, the hair is dried with a towel.

8. The bobbins are removed and a second layer of fixer is applied for 5 minutes.
9. The hair is rinsed with warm water, washed with a special shampoo and balm. Drying after curling cannot be done, as the hair is severely injured by the chemical composition.

1.Permanent Is a substance that directly creates curls.

There are 3 groups of funds:

In this case, the composition severely injures the hair, and the vapors released during application can cause dizziness. Thioglycolic permanent is milder, but the effect lasts no more than 2 months.

2. Retainer. It is produced in the form of a concentrate and a ready-made solution. The concentrate is diluted with water 1: 1, however, when carrying out the procedure at home, you should not risk it and it is better to purchase a ready-made solution.

How to take care of your hair after the procedure?

1. The first three days should not be washed, otherwise the effect of curling will not be long-term.

2. You need to choose a special care for your hair:

• Shampoos, masks, balms, serums for curly hair;
• Anti-hairline oils and sprays;
• Hair moisturizing procedures - rinsing with chamomile and nettle decoction, enriching masks with essential oils (coconut, peach, burdock);
• Use of additional products with panthenol, collagen and silk proteins.

3. Drying the hair mainly in a natural way until completely dry. You can go to bed only with well-dried hair. In rare cases, it is allowed to use a hair dryer in cold blowing mode with a special nozzle-diffuser.

4. Hair is best worn loose. To model the hairstyle, you need to use a wooden or plastic comb with rare teeth. The use of metal combs and hair accessories is prohibited.

The effect of perm lasts from 1.5 months to six months.
